Individualized Nutrition Plan

Since weight loss is not one-size-fits-all, we offer several treatment modalities and St. Rita’s Weight Management Center.

What is an Individualized Nutrition Plan?

One option in the Medical Weight Management Program is to work with the Registered Dietitian at the Weight Management Center for individual nutrition counseling. The dietitian will focus on developing strategies that will enhance opportunities for you to control your own behaviors related to weight loss. The dietitian seeks to learn about your current and desired state of health, and follows you on a regular basis with the physician. After learning about your health history, favorite foods, eating and exercise habits, the dietitian will help you set goals and prioritize.

If you have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes, it can be hard to know what to eat. The physician and the dietitian will help you understand your condition and help you create an eating plan that includes all the important nutrients to help you manage your condition. We help you make simple changes to your daily choices, so that you’re more likely to lose the weight and keep it off for good. A healthy weight is all about balancing food intake with physical activity. Small steps add up. With medical weight loss, slow, steady weight loss is more likely to last than dramatic weight changes.

If you want to reach and maintain a healthy weight, the best path is a lifelong combination of eating smarter and moving more. For a personalized plan tailored to your lifestyle and food preferences, then consulting a Registered Dietitian with expertise in weight management is the option for you here at our center.

This treatment is combined with activity in our fitness center. All of our patients are introduced to fitness and encouraged to participate in physical activity.
